The movie, a thriller centered on a con artist, his wife, and a stranger – trying to flee the country after one of them is inflicted in the murder of a local police officer is adapted from the 1988 novel of the same name by Patricia Highsmith.

The movie follows a string of other blockbuster Hollywood movies that have scenes in Istanbul – most notably, James Bond’s new venture in Skyfall, Liam Neeson’s action packed Taken 2, and Oscar tipped Ben Affleck flick Argo.

Being set on two different continents; Asia and Europe, and being home to several different cultures and diversity, Istanbul is fast becoming a favourite amongst Hollywood producers as a spectacular backdrop for scenes in some of the biggest movies of the year.
