Turkey’s population to hit close to 95 million by 2050

According to a report by the Turkish Statistics Institute (TurkStat), Turkey’s total population is expectation to grow to 94.6 million by 2050.

Turkey currently ranks as the world’s 19th most populated nation with a population that tops 74 million according to data in 2011, a far cry from China who weigh in with 1.35 billion people of the world’s total 6.97 billion population.

The report looked at Turkey’s demographic future by researching rates of reproductive health in Turkey along with the current demographic numbers. Turkey currently has a growth rate of 1.3 percent which is higher than the world growth rate expectancy of 0.4 percent between 2045 and 2050.

Turkey is growing and developing as a nation to become one of the more powerful nations in the region and world, the continuing development of infrastructure and public systems makes Turkey one of the key nations to world growth in the future.
