Turkey to become global retail centre

CB Richard Ellis’ annual report ‘How Global is the Business of Retail?’ has predicted that the rising growth of the Turkish economy coupled with the great investment prospects in Turkey, makes Turkey hugely appealing for international retailers in the near future.

The report from the global property consultancy firm followed 326 of the top retailers in the world to more than 200 cities in 70 different countries. The report ranked each country and placed Turkey in 14th spot for international retail businesses. The report found that 39 percent of International retail brands surveyed are currently working with business in Turkey.

According to the report, Istanbul is fast becoming a major retail centre in itself, with 48.1 percent of the brands surveyed being present in Istanbul. Shopping in Istanbul is an adventure in itself, the city is set to become a technology and business centre in the near future – this is most likely set to lead to Turkish property for sale in Istanbul to rocket even further in price.
