Turkish automotive firm reaches new sales record

Ford Otosan in Turkey has revealed that the company have reached a new all-time sales record in 2011.

General Manager of the automotive company, Nuri Otay, said: “We sold 12,064 vehicles in November and our market share, which was 15.6 percent throughout the year, rose to 18 percent in November.” The General Manager also stated that the company expects 2011 to be a year of more records to be broken in production, export, and domestic sales in Turkey.

Otay also said that the total number of sales for the year so far total 119,978. The company Otosan is a company from a joint venture by Ford Motor Company and Koc Holding. As cars and automobiles in Turkey are on the rise, the number of sales will continue to rise in the future.
