The chairman of the Turkish Hoteliers Federation (TUROFED) has stated that Turkey will rise to 8th place among countries with the highest amount of tourism income.

The income generated by Turkey through tourism income is expected to rise from $22 billion to $25 billion, an unprecedented increase of 15 percent. Turkey also currently ranks as the 7th highest country for drawing the highest number of tourists and is the 9th ranked country with the highest amount of tourism income.

Ahmet Barut said: “We expect number of tourists to increase 10 percent this year. Accordingly, number of tourists visiting Turkey will be about 31 million by the end of the year.”

Regarding future plans for tourism in Turkey, Barut said: “Our goal is to become one of the top five countries in tourism sector in the next ten years.”

This is a continued sign of recent Turkish growth. The economy in Turkey is a lot more stable than the rest of Europe, and Turkish tourism and Turkish property is growing and becoming more and more commanding and prominent amongst people looking to travel or buy property.
