New changes to Passport Renewal Process for British Expats

The British Embassy in Ankara has announced changes to the passport renewal process for UK residents in Turkey again. According to UK’s vice consul in Turkey, instead of supplying local consulates in Bodrum, Marmaris and Fethiye with blank numbered passports for the renewal process, all passport renewals will now take place in Istanbul. The changes are necessary because of cost and security issues.

Expats in Turkey looking to renew their passports can download passport renewal forms and choose to pay in cash at the local consulate and send the receipt to Istanbul together with the application; or complete a credit/debit card form to cover the payment.

Passports renewal takes ten working days from receipt of application and the new passport will be delivered by Yurt Ici cargo.

Passport renewal fees are as follows;

32 Page Adult Passport – 10 year 325.00 TL

32 Page Child Passport – 5 year 210.00 TL

48 Page Passport – 10 year 395.00 TL

Below is the address for completed application forms;
